Eaton Elementary School Reviews

My son is completing his first of year of school at Eaton. He is in Pre-k. His teacher Mrs. Barnhardt is a wonderful teacher. Her experience with teaching has helped my son adjust to his first year of school very well. He loves his teacher and classmates. They're all such a wonderful group of 4 & 5 year olds. I've had a wonderful experience at Eaton this school year. Oh and the principal Ms. Gatrell, is WONDERFUL!!! Go Eaton

My son is completing his first year at Eaton. As an alumnus of Eaton myself, I can attest to the dedication and support of staff from twenty years ago. I am pleased to report that my experience as an Eaton parent has only heightened my appreciation for the organization and integrative learning that continues to take place in 2008. Mrs. Natarajan and Mrs. Bigelow make for a great 2nd grade teaching team.

My 7 year old son has been at Eaton for three years, and I am pleased to write that his reading skills, as well as mathematical reasoning, is excellent. Say what you may about the reputation of public schools in the District of Columbia, but I know that Eaton is as good as they come. Great amount of diversity, attentive and responsive teachers and administrators. Very heavy parental involvement, as well. I have no complaints. And best of all, it's FREE! LOL

Eaton Elementary in Washington, D.C. is a well run, diverse school with a host of after-school activities and a strong PTA. My son is in 4th grade at Eaton and this is his first year at the school. At Eaton he is more motivated as he finds the homework more interesting and challenging than at his old school. My son also loves the after-school program which offers a nice balance between recreational activities and homework study. Eaton provides afterschool care until 6:30 p.m. which is very important to working parents and is very affordable. Overall, I recommend Eaton highly. No need to spend 10,000 to 20,000 USD per year for private schooling when you have options such as this one!

This is my child's second year at Eaton and I absolutely love it! (She does too) The teachers are great, the parents are great and the activities are great. I am very pleased with the quality of the academics. My daughter is truly getting the best out a public school. She's in the 3rd grade and is already familiar with concepts usually reserved for 5th and 6th graders. I would strongly reccommend this school to anyone.
