So many teacher go above and beyond - you find some of them there at 5 and 6 o'clock, doing special projects. All 4th graders have a chess class - how many schools do that! And the after school program is also excellent - and bilingual. It has a strong parent community and a group of very dedicated teachers who truly believe in the bilingual program that Oyster offers. Unfortunately we have a principal who doesn't share the same vision and as a result, Oyster's quality of education is suffering: test scores have dropped and teacher morale is low.
