Eastern York High School Reviews
Quality Score: 5 Post Date:2010-01-14
“I am a recent graduate from Eastern York, and overall I loved high school. I was actively involved in the athletics and music department. Eastern was always praised for the well-behaved and talented students with great sportsmanship. I am attending a college in New York, and I have noticed that although I personally did not score as well on the SAT's, I have learned more and got more out of my high school education compared to other students that have attended private and Catholic schools at my university. I felt very safe at school, and there was a place for everyone. I noticed that overall, the students, faculty and administration got along well which made school enjoyable and productive. I recommend this school if you are looking for a school with a great view and an emphasis on helping your child become well-rounded, happy, and appreciated.” This review was posted by a other.

“The quality of academic programs is very good. My child has access to many sports, music and extracurricular activities. I find that many parents are involved and interested in helping.” This review was posted by a parent.

“I am also an Eastern graduate. I must say that I was in the business track there thinking I would not attend college but would go into the working world. I ended up changing my mind and going on to college. I first earned a two year degree in accounting. After I immediately transferred and went on to earn my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. My motivation for wanting to become an accountant was my accounting teacher at Eastern. She was a terrific teacher! My motivation for becoming a teacher instead was the teachers I encountered from my own education in Eastern York School District. I can't say I wouldn't have been better prepared if I had chosen the academic track, but I did just fine without it. I would definitely send my child to Eastern. There's a great mix of people there. It's all of what you make of it!” This review was posted by a former student.

“I noticed the other review, and I'm not a parent either, but also a former student (1989). I, like many others, was not entirely fond of high school. However, after going to college and on to grad school, I can honestly say that Eastern School District prepared me for the competition I faced from other students, while allowing me to express my scholastic and athletic abilities in a safe and supportive environment while I was there. Now that I'm in my early 30s and thinking about my (future) children, I can only hope they can go to a school that is even close to what I experienced at Eastern High School.” This review was posted by a former student.

“I'm not a parent, actually, just a former student to Eastern York. I've gone to Eastern my entire life, and I can honestly say that they have not provided me with the tools I needed to get through life. I definitely would not suggest this school to anyone.” This review was posted by a former student.
