While the city's mega-dance clubs are synonymous with Manhattan, a new kind of club has emerged in recent years that Brooklyn likes to call home.

Club XS (clubxsyork.com) is a club where the under-21s and the older crowd can meet, although swing nights can be taboo. There are clubs in Miami serving alcohol, but there are plenty of opportunities for young people to enjoy the city's nightlife while out and about. Some bars that normally require membership (usually easy to obtain) stay open all night, such as a bar in Birmingham called Nick's, where drinks run until 6am, but you still get paid by card. A bar in Fort Lauderdale can be open until 4 a.m., Tampa bars until 3 a.m., and although they don't sell alcohol, the bar stays open until midnight. Miami clubs, by contrast, serve only 3 to 6 pints of alcohol. M. And only for a limited period.

Many cities require bars to close at 1 a.m., but Boston allows it, and some larger cities like Boise follow the 2 a.m. rule. In many smaller cities, bars are required to close at 1 a.m., and the last drink is served at midnight in New York City and New Jersey, but not in Philadelphia or Pittsburgh.

Thirty-five of the state's 75 counties are "dry" and few cities sell alcohol, but most casinos, including Biloxi, can sell it 24 hours a day. Eight counties in Kansas allow liquor sales in bars for people who do not have club membership. Alcohol sales are also permitted in public places such as restaurants, bars, hotels and licensed restaurants.

Other agencies, including the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, have labeled establishments with licenses for spirits as non-compliant. Meanwhile, bars and restaurants have been told to take strict measures to limit the spread of the disease. Similar orders were announced in California, where Governor Gavin Newsom said Sunday that all bars, nightclubs, wineries and breweries will remain closed. At least 100 cases have been linked by health officials to a bar in Baton Rouge's Tigerland district, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, but in Louisiana, where the bar remains largely closed due to reopening efforts.

State authorities have also suspended the licenses of the Sacarello family, which owns a number of restaurants and bars in New Orleans and a liquor store in Baton Rouge.

In Pennsylvania, Governor Tom Wolf has ordered restaurants and bars in five counties to close for 14 days starting Monday. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker ordered all bars and restaurants to close on Monday, March 30, Illinois announced Sunday. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti later announced in a tweet Sunday night that his city is extending the moratorium on liquor licenses to all restaurants, bars and liquor stores in the city.

In New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Sunday night that he would sign an executive order Monday restricting restaurants and bars to delivering and delivering food and ordering the closure of all restaurants, bars and liquor stores in the city by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 30. Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker said Sunday that he prohibits eating and drinking at any restaurant or bar in his state, but that businesses can continue to offer takeaway food and delivery.
